The final fees may vary, and will take into account:

• Illustrations to be formatted

• Number of additional edits required

• Transcriptions 

• Additional choices of covers  (if publishing is required)

• Additional proof copies (if publishing is required)

It is expected that manuscripts are supplied as a single word document, having been proof-read and self-edited as far as possible.* If this is not the case, then additional fees may be charged.

PROOF-READ ONLY (essays, articles & short prose only. Maximum 2,000 words)

​COPY EDITING (INCLUDING MOST ASPECTS OF LINE EDITING)

 £200 base rate, plus £3 per 1,000 words

[eg If your manuscript is 80,000 words long, copy editing will cost you £440]

A non-refundable deposit of £50 will be requested. This will also serve as an assessment fee to determine whether Developmental Editing is recommended.
